The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is one of a network of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). As a global leader in agroforestry research and development, ICRAF’s ultimate purpose is to improve human welfare by reducing poverty, increasing cash income, improving food and nutritional security, and increasing environmental resilience through improved agroforestry systems. ICRAF has it’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and works in 21 countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America.

In 1993, the World Agroforestry Centre opened a program for Southeast Asia with Bogor, in Indonesia, as its regional headquarters. We currently work in five Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
DATA ANALYST CONSULTANT (DAC)

The Position
The Data Analyst Consultant will work under Tree & Market Unit to maintain quantitative and qualitative research’s data in order to provide statistical analysis as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:

* Participate in designing methodologies for marketing and silvicultural research.
* Assist in collecting field data for marketing and silvicultural research.
* Validate consistency of data that is collected from the fields.
* Enter the data and create research database.
* Conduct statistical analysis and assist to write the report.
* Conduct literature review of appropriate statistical methods and designs

Qualifications and Skills Required:

* Must have at least the following qualifications and capacities:
* Bachelor degree (S1) in Statistic with 2 (two) years experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
* Experience with smallholder forestry and forest product marketing is an advantage.
* Excellence understanding in using SPSS and other statistical tools.
* Good oral and written communication skills in Indonesian and English.
* Self motivated and able to work independently as well as a team.
* Demonstrated skills in time management and result oriented.

Terms of offer

* This is a short-term professional service position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
* The contract is for a period of 6 (six) months, with possibility of renewal, subject to assessment of performance, and availability of resources.
